Movement Matters

What types of exercise are most important as we get older? How can we start to make changes that will last? Staying strong can be the way to stay independent.

Explore the issues around moving to age well.

Join a small group with practical activities and conversation.

This is part of the Health Matters series. The Southern Councils of Onkaparinga, Marion, Mitcham, and Holdfast Bay have teamed up with local community leaders and researchers from the University of South Australia. Together, they've created special workshops focused on your well-being. These workshops are designed to give you trustworthy, up-to-date information and practical tips to help you age well. They're short, interactive sessions that tackle the physical aspects of staying healthy as you get older. With a focus on simple habits that make a big difference, these workshops are here to support you every step of the way.

Small group ZOOM or dedicated presentations may be available on request and subject to demand. For enquiries contact contact Judith Lowe, Active Ageing Project Officer on 8384 0161 or email Judith.Lowe@onkaparinga.sa.gov.au.
