Economic Growth and Tourism Strategic Plan

Onkaparinga is growing, and we want that growth to be smart, inclusive and sustainable. This strategic plan sets our direction for the next five years, shaped by the valuable input of local businesses, industry stakeholders, and the community.

It outlines how the council will support business growth, attract investment, strengthen the visitor economy, and create vibrant, connected places across our region.

  • Tourism accommodation assessment to meet growing visitor demand
  • Leveraging our Visitor Centre as a nationally recognised asset
  • Supporting First Nations business development
  • Strengthening local business connections across the ecosystem
  • Unlocking industrial land to drive investment and job creation
  • Expanding Go South Go Local to boost local spending
  • Delivering new grant funding programs to activate precincts and encourage innovation
  • Destination marketing and iconic event attraction to grow year-round visitation.
