Cherry Gardens cemetery Cherry Gardens Road, Cherry Gardens.The Cherry Gardens cemetery is small in size and is the resting place of many of the area’s early pioneer families. There are over 250 people interred in the grounds.
Clarendon Kangarilla cemetery Clarendon Road, Clarendon.This cemetery was opened in 1875, with the first burial being that of John Hart in December 1875. Before this, there were various small cemeteries attached to churches in both towns.
Coromandel Valley cemetery Crane Avenue, Coromandel Valley.The Coromandel Valley cemetery is situated on what originally was the site of the Coromandel Valley Congregational Church and school. Well known pioneers buried in the cemetery include members of the Meatheringham, Murray & Weymouth families. There are over 750 people interred here.
Happy Valley cemetery Chandlers Hill Road, Clarendon.Dr Robert Montgomery donated the land for the first Wesleyan Chapel and burial ground to be built on the south-east corner of Old Clarendon Road and Douglas Hill Road. When the reservoir was built, the cemetery was moved and 215 adults and children (many of whom where unnamed) were exhumed and reburied. There are now over 600 people interred in this cemetery.
Morphett Vale Bains cemetery States Road, Morphett Vale.This cemetery was donated for public use by Mr Robert Bain of Section 596 of Melville Farm. The cemetery contains graves of early families such as King, Goldsmith, McCloud and Nash as well as members of the Bain families. The first burial was that of Ruth Tapley, granddaughter of the Rev Edward Baker. The cemetery is the resting place of over 850 persons.
Morphett Vale Scotch cemetery Main South Road, Morphett Vale.The cemetery stands on what was officially St Andrews Church but affectionately called Brodie’s Church—a Church of Scotland. Brodie's Church was completely destroyed by fire in February 1858 and now all that remains is the cemetery. There are no records before 1866 but some of the old headstones have survive. There are over 600 people interred in Scotch cemetery.
