Animal registrations are due by 31 August each year.
Renew registration
Visit Dogs and Cats Online to renew registration, register a new animal, complete microchip/desexing records or notify us if the animal moves to a new address, dies or is missing for more than 72 hours. Transferring your dog or cat to a new owner? Transfer ownership online to another person. New owners must be provided with the certificate of registration (renewal notice) and transfer code.

The 2024/25 dog registration fees are:

Application to access information on the public register, Dogs and Cats Online (DACO)
Submit an online application to access information on the public register, Dogs and Cats Online (DACO).
Please note, to submit your application form, you must complete all parts of the form and:
- provide proof of identity
- pay the application fee of $41.50
If you do not wish to upload proof of identity or make payment electronically, you may print the application off, complete it and provide your proof of identity along with payment in person at any of our offices.
