Santos Tour Down Under  

Friday 17 January 2025 - Aldinga Beach

We advise that the following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on the above date between 6am to 7pm.

• Esplanade from Gordon Street to Hamilton Road
• Esplanade from Hamilton Road to Quinliven Road (please note this is a soft closure with resident access permitted outside of SAPOL closure)
• Hume Street from Esplanade to A point approximately 50m south east of Esplanade
• Butterworth Street from Esplanade to Atkinson Crescent
• Croser Avenue from Butterworth Road to Blacker Road

Saturday 18 and Saturday 25 January 2025 - Willunga

We advise that the following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on the above date between 6am to 7pm.

• Old Willunga Hill Road from St Matthews Street to Blackbilly Road
• Brookman Road from Old Willunga Hill Road to Range Road

Saturday 25 January 2025 - McLaren Vale

We advise that the following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on the above date between 6am and 2.30pm.

• Main Road from Tatachilla Road to Valley View Drive
• Kalamata Court from Main Road to its entirety
• Kalyra Access Road (private road) from Main Road to its entirety
• Field Street from Main Road to Nicole Street
• Aldersey Street from Main Road to Tatachilla Road

South Australian Police will implement rolling road closures throughout the City of Onkaparinga on Friday 17, Saturday 18, Friday 24 and Saturday 25 January 2025 in accordance with the race. This will last for approximately 30 minutes each time the cyclist’s pass.

Changes can be made to all traffic management plans under South Australia Police jurisdiction in accordance with public safety.

Silver Sands Triathlon

Sunday 9 February 2025

We advise that the following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on the above date between 6.00am and 1.00pm

• Esplanade, Aldinga Beach between Quinliven Road and Morgan Street
• Lower Esplanade, Aldinga Beach between Morgan Street and Norman Road
• Norman Road, Aldinga Beach from Coolangatta Drive west to the boat ramp

Exemption is granted to all persons taking part in the event from all Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour.

Beachside Food and Wine Festival

Saturday 15 February 2025

We advise that the following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on the above date between 11.00am and 11.00pm

• Esplanade, Christies Beach for approximately 80m each side of Beach Road
• Beach Road, Christies Beach between Esplanade and Taunton Parade
• Grundy Terrace, Christies Beach, between Beach Road and number 7
• Witton Road, Christies Beach from Beach Road for 50 metres south
• Esplanade, Christies Beach between Dale Avenue and an point approximately 80 metres south of Beach Road (northbound traffic only – local residents and businesses exempted)

Exemption is granted to all persons taking part in the event from all Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour.
