Promote your community event

  • Events must be held within the City of Onkaparinga.
  • Events must be open to the community to attend.
  • Events can be free or paid, however there must be a community activity aspect to the event.

Workshops, activities, training opportunities and open/fun days are all encouraged.

Garage sales, business sale events and real estate open houses will not be approved.

Charity events calling for individuals to participate (eg. Movember / Red Nose Day) will not be approved, however fundraising opportunities that are centred around a community event (eg. an Australia's Biggest Morning Tea get-together) are encouraged.

Share your sporting club or community group

  • Sporting clubs and community groups must be based within the City of Onkaparinga.
  • They must be open to new members and enquiries from the public.
  • Membership can be free or paid, however there must be a sporting or community-building aspect to the club.

Support groups, book clubs, worship/prayer groups, social and youth groups etc. are all encouraged.

Businesses offering services to individual clients will not be approved.

Share your support service

  • Services should ideally be based within the City of Onkaparinga.
  • If a particular type of support isn’t available locally, we welcome services from outside the region that can assist our community.
  • Services should focus on providing free, low-cost, or subsidised support options to ensure accessibility for all residents.
  • Support for mental health, alcohol and other drugs, gambling, family and relationship issues, housing, financial hardship, and wellbeing are all encouraged.

High-cost programs, commercial seminars, or services that are not realistically accessible to our community will not be approved.

What type of organisations can apply?

  • Organisations should be open to enquiries from the public.
  • They can include government agencies, not-for-profit organisations, community groups, health providers, and other recognised support services.
  • Services must have a clear community benefit and provide practical help.

Businesses offering premium or exclusive services to individual clients will not be approved.
