You can keep two dogs on a residential property or three dogs on a rural property without a permit.
Apply for a permit to keep an additional dog by completing the application form below.
Prior to submitting your application all dogs must be registered on Dogs and Cats Online - this includes the additional dog/s you are applying to keep. A permit is only valid for the dogs and the address specified in the application.
Please be advised additional checks may be completed by a Community Safety Officer before a permit can be issued.
Council will advise you of the decision in writing. Approval may be withdrawn if a complaint is received, e.g. excessive barking.
