Mayor's Drawing Competition - Hub Library

Mayor Moira Were AM would like to invite you to participate in her drawing competition during Children’s Week.

Visit the Hub Library to create your drawing on the template provided, then submit it to staff with the completed entry form. The theme is: The art of who we are. Draw what makes you happy about your family, culture, or community.

Artwork will be displayed and the winners announced during the Family Fun Day on Saturday 24 October.

This is a drop-in activity. This drop-in will be available during library opening hours from Saturday 3 October to Sunday 4 October. You can join this program at any time during the hours listed:

• Saturday 3 October - 10am-1pm
• Sunday 4 October - 2-5pm

Mayor's Drawing Competition

Entry

• Visit any Onkaparinga library during the specified competition time, create your drawing in the template provided, then submit it to staff with the completed entry form.

Entry limit

• Participants may submit one entry per person.

Age requirements

• For 4-12 years.

Theme

• Submissions must depict the theme.

Eligibility

• Only residents of the City of Onkaparinga are eligible to participate.
• Employees of the City of Onkaparinga and their household members are ineligible to win.

Parental consent

• Participants under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or guardian to enter the competition. Additionally, a parent or guardian must be available to accompany the minor when collecting any prizes.

Competition period

• The competition opens on Saturday 26 September, 9am and closes on Sunday 11 October 2026, 5pm.

Judging

• The competition will be managed, judged, and winners selected by the City of Onkaparinga.
• All decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
• Judging will be completed mid October.

Announcement of winners

• Winners will be announced at the Children’s Week Family Fun Day event at on Saturday 24 October.

Runner up

• Should the winner forfeit the prize or is unable to be contacted via the contact number provided or is unable to pick up the prize in the allocated time, the City of Onkaparinga reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner up.

Prizes

• Three winners will each receive packs of art supplies worth $100.

Prize conditions

• Prizes must be accepted as offered and cannot be varied, extended, transferred, or exchanged for cash.

Additional costs

• Any additional products or services not included in the prize, but required by the winner, must be arranged, and paid for by the winner.

Promotional consent

• By entering the competition, participants consent to the City of Onkaparinga using their first name, suburb, age, and photograph for promotional purposes indefinitely, including on Onkaparinga Libraries' Facebook and Instagram pages.

Liability

• The City of Onkaparinga is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising out of or in connection with this promotion and/or the prize.
• The City of Onkaparinga will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion and/or the prize draw or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law

By attending this event you consent for you, and any persons you are responsible for, being photographed and/or filmed and agree that the City of Onkaparinga and other organisations may use the resulting photographs and film for promotional purposes, including by publishing them in print and other media.
