Response to The Advertiser.

• The journalist asked if the council would like to comment on the rate of assaults in Noarlunga Centre.

Any criminal activity and inappropriate behaviour identified around Noarlunga Centre is a police matter. However, we continue working collaboratively with SA Police to address the issue and assist them where we can, to reduce crime and improve safety for the community.

Our asserted outreach partner, Streetlight, also continues delivering outreach services in Ramsay Place once a week. The program engages young people who are at risk of mental health, homelessness, drug and alcohol misuse, anti-social behaviour and social isolation.
