City of Onkaparinga is inviting those who came to call Australia home through experiences of war, displacement, or interment to tell their story through art. Each story is unique. Each one is powerful. And together, they shape Australia we all call home today.

Choose to tell your story or that of your family, through art. 

Create your art at home, in your community groups or limited places will be available for classes in May at Reynella Neighbourhood Centre.

  • Selected art will be displayed in City of Onkaparinga libraries or community centres during June 2026.
  • Any medium is welcome. For example, photography, drawing, painting, collage, or embroidery. One submission per person.
  • Maximum size A3. Please mount items so that they can be pinned to paper for hanging.
  • Please include text to explain your work (up to 120 words).
  • Images must be deemed suitable as for family-friendly display.
