New World captures the novel experiences of the artist’s everyday encounters since moving to the Fleurieu Peninsula from Tokyo in 2024. She abstracts her emotions and impressions into tangible forms.

The exhibition embodies contrasts in the artist’s lived experiences; her exhausting life in Tokyo, with the invigorating life being cultivated in Port Willunga. New landscapes that she inhabits; seasons passing, the vast sea, abundant flora and fauna and weathered buildings – are vivid inspiration. A new visual language has emerged which the artist uses to preserve her memories and emotions.
