Surf 2026 celebrates the heart of our region’s surf culture, the stories, traditions and community that has shaped generations of waveriders. From early surf pioneers to today’s surf clubs, board-shapers, and beachside gatherings, the exhibition honours the people and moments that define our surfing identity.

This summer tradition is a highlight of the southern arts calendar. Open to artists nationwide, Surf 2026 invites work that explores the essence of surf life: the camaraderie of dawn sessions, the evolution of surf craft, and the rituals, legends and lived experiences that continue to inspire.
