Join Ian as he talks on his expansive practice, the locations, materials and processes involved in producing Ironstone. This is a free event with no bookings required. The kettle will be on.

About Ian 

 

Ian Burman’s paintings are an exploration of the geometry, textures and colour of disused and dilapidated architectural forms in their rural landscape contexts. His intention is to highlight the beauty of these forms and to show them sympathetically without being too literal or sentimental. Recent collage/mixed media works follow this theme, with more abstract elements included to create new viewpoints and visual interest. The works in this exhibition Ironstone draw mainly from the Yorke and Fleurieu Peninsulas, the Mid North and other parts of South Australia.
