2026 Australia Day Breakfasts

Free Australia Day Breakfasts are being held at two locations around our city on Monday 26 January 2026 from 8am until 11am.

Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity for the community and families to come together to celebrate Australia Day and to enjoy a free breakfast provided by the City of Onkaparinga. Meet and connect with your community and reflect on our history, diversity, achievements and bright future.

The breakfasts are a fantastic opportunity for the community and families to come together to celebrate Australia Day and to enjoy a free breakfast including eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, juice and coffee provided by the City of Onkaparinga. There will be entertainment along with activities for the children.

The breakfasts will be held at these locations around our city:

• Aberfoyle Park – Happy Valley Sports Park
• Willunga - Centenary Park, Binney Road Willunga (No pets allowed with the exception of medical aid dogs)

Residents need only bring a picnic rug or chair. The breakfasts have a great atmosphere and are enjoyed by all ages.

The breakfasts are funded by the City of Onkaparinga and delivered by local community groups, including Willunga and District Lions Club, and Happy Valley Sports Park.

Noarlunga - Please note a breakfast in Ramsay Place won’t be held in 2026 after the previous community group host advised they would no longer be able to deliver it. The council held an expression-of-interest process to secure a new host, but there has so far only been interest in potentially hosting a nearby breakfast from 2027. Apologies for any inconvenience – we hope to see a return of a third breakfast location in 2027.

Council will seek expressions of interest mid-year for a 2027 event and welcomes interest from community groups wishing to be involved.
