Yam Daisy

Microseris lanceolata

This perrenial herb is almost extinct on the Adelaide Plains. A few patches are still found in the Mount Lofty Ranges. It's long, soft leaves go dormant over summer and will emerge with autumn rains. Large yellow flowers develop on tall stalks in spring. It will self seed but is not invasive.
