Clusters of scented white flowers with a reddish centre appear on tall stalks in spring. Drifts of this perennial grass-like lily can look great amongst other plants. The plant dies down and goes dormant after flowering.
Produces tubers eaten by small mammals. Attracts Insects and native butterflies.
