Next date: Friday, 16 October 2026 | 10:00 AM to Monday, 30 November 2026 | 04:00 PM

Red Rover Gallery

Friday 16 October – Monday 30 November

The Painted Grain invites viewers into a world where stories grow from timber and colour blooms from the grain. Each work is created through a layered mixed-media process on reclaimed wood, transforming salvaged surfaces into lively portraits of animals, flowers and rural life.

Inspired by the Australian landscape, the exhibition celebrates the beauty of imperfection. knots, cracks and marks carry traces of history. The Painted Grain reveals the character within both the materials and the subjects, inviting viewers to see the spirit of the land in every layer.
