'Toondilla' is part of the small precinct of historic places associated with the notable Morphett family, early settlers in the district and prominent members of the local community. The large, late Victorian style Villa is of bluestone construction with rendered quoins to surrounds and openings, and a hipped and gabled roof clad in corrugated iron. The projecting gable front and bay window is a prominent feature of the front façade. A prominent verandah extends across the front.
'Toondilla' was reputedly built by Henry Morphett, son of Richard Morphett, around 1885.
