Dwelling - 'Buckland House'
Description
The building was used as the first school in Willunga when it was established by James Bassett in 1847. Following the construction of the Boy's School next door in 1862, the building was used as a girl's school up until 1875 when it was converted into a residence. Comprising a substantial slate roof, little of the building has changed since the early 1840s. Walls are constructed of pug, with lathe and plaster ceilings, and slate floors.
