Former congregational church, including 1844 and 1862 church, and grav
Description
Whole of exterior, excluding later additions.
A church complex consisting of the original church, the second church (pictured) and cemetery. The first church built in 1844 is a simple box design with fully rendered walls which served the local habitants until the second church was built. The second church was opened in 1862 and is constructed of coursed rubble stone walling with very high, peaked gables. The cemetery is full of headstones belonging to the area's British pioneers, many of whom were famous.
