An 1850's four roomed pug cottage which has been extended over time. Thomas Kain and his family resided here in the 1850's. The original section retains its low scale and orginal casement window joinery. The pug at the front has been rendered and incised with lines. The cottage has been recently re-roofed, but retains its brick chimneys with extensions obviously necessary to allow the chimneys to draw properly.
