Just doing a yarn following Tuesday's meeting and Nigel Black's deputation. Would I be able to get a quick comment from council about how the consultation process is a chance for concerns like these to be addressed, etc,? I know it's hard to comment when it's up for consultation and in this stage but just a line would be great!
Council is undertaking community engagement to ensure we are aware of any issues that need to be considered as part of the Witton Bluff Base Trail project.
The engagement process provides the opportunity for people to have their say on a project.
The project has been a proposal for a number of years and has been supported by many within the community previously.
The project and final design will reference technical investigations and state funding requirements, seek input from Kaurna representatives, and consider feedback provided by all community members and key stakeholders.
A trail at the top of Witton Bluff has been investigated, but previously ruled out based on specialist engineering advice that due to cliff stability, the top trail cannot be completed without making sections of the Esplanade one-way, which was previously opposed by the local community.
