Without our volunteers, we simply couldn't deliver the level of community services we currently do.

We're incredibly proud of our volunteers and we thank them for their time, their expertise and their passion for the City of Onkaparinga.

Last year, volunteers employed by the City of Onkaparinga contributed 128,732 hours of their time to make our city a better place.

Their vital work spans 30 different areas including nature conservation, libraries, the arts, community centres, and aged and disability care, to name a few.

Across our region, you'll also find volunteers helping in not-for-profits, hospitals, sporting and recreation clubs, schools, and hobby groups.

Every day volunteers from all walks of life are transforming the local community and the lives of others through their actions and the support they provide.

Volunteering enriches communities by fostering unity, empowering individuals, and addressing critical needs.

Through the selfless dedication of volunteers, essential services and support are provided to those in need.

It promotes social cohesion, strengthens community bonds, and cultivates a culture of compassion.

Volunteers bring diverse skills, perspectives, and resources, contributing to the growth and resilience of the community.

By giving their time and talents, volunteers uplift the collective well-being, inspire positive change, and create a better future for all.
