Looking to follow-up council's approval of a new electric vehicle charging station in Seaford. Not a long story but any quotes regarding their importance in today's society, that sort of thing, would be great, as well as any costs if they've been identified yet.
Comments attributed to Mayor Moira Were
Our decision to grant a licence to the RAA for a high-speed electric vehicle charging station in our carpark north of the Seaford Central Shopping Centre is a win-win for the community.
The site will provide multiple benefits, including supporting the region and the state’s transition to electric vehicles, and demonstrating City of Onkaparinga’s commitment to action on climate change, at no cost to council or ratepayers.
Our residents have consistently told us action on climate change is one of their top priorities, and this was again reflected by the engagement we undertook on this charging station, which received overwhelming community support.
