Heritage 2 - Willunga

Our History and Heritage Awards recognise positive contributions in the promotion, conservation or understanding of the region’s built heritage.

The awards shine a light on best practice in the conservation of heritage places and seek to foster a stronger awareness of design and heritage within the community.

Nominations

You can nominate any restoration project that relates to a Local Heritage Place completed within the last 3 years.

Private property owners, volunteers, community groups and historical organisations are encouraged to enter.

Award categories

Restoration and conservation

For an outstanding project that involves sensitive conservation and restoration of a local heritage listed place in the City of Onkaparinga. This award will be presented to the owners of a local heritage listed place.

Additions

For an outstanding project that features sympathetically designed alterations and additions to a local heritage listed place in the City of Onkaparinga. This award will be presented to the owners of a local heritage listed place.

Adaptive reuse

For a project that involves outstanding innovation in adapting and reusing a local heritage listed place in the City of Onkaparinga, with minimal impact on its heritage fabric, significance and setting. This award will be presented to the owners of a local heritage listed place.

Traditional building skills

For the outstanding application of traditional skills and techniques while undertaking conservation and restoration of a local heritage listed place in the City of Onkaparinga. This award is intended for tradespeople who are applying and promoting traditional skills and techniques in building conservation.
