Nominations are now closed for our 2021 Australia Day Awards.
These annual awards recognise local individuals and groups who have made an outstanding contribution to our communities during the year in the following categories.
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Little Hero of the Year
- Sportsperson of the Year
- Community Event of the Year
Details of our 2021 City of Onkaparinga Australia Day Award recipients will be announced on 26 January 2021.
Congratulations to our 2020 Award recipients:
- Citizen of the Year - Dual recipients: Chris Lemar and Carlee Lynch
- Young Citizen of the Year - Callum Barrott Walsh
- Little Hero of the Year - Ruby Carpenter
- Sportsperson of the Year - Cooper Bristow

Absent: Cooper Bristow - Sportsperson of the Year due to interstate competition.
Nominations for the 2021 City of Onkaparinga Australia Day Awards will open in September 2020.
To be eligible, the person must be an Australian Citizen, should reside in the City of Onkaparinga and/ or have made a significant voluntary contribution to the Onkaparinga community through the year or over a number of years.
