Manya Pilyapilya/Jim Jaggard Park
This park was formally named on 16 November 2021 following community consultation.
The Aboriginal name ‘Manya Pilyapilya’ means ‘rain moth’ in the Kaurna language. The other part of the name recognises the significant contribution of local resident, Jim Jaggard, to the community. In particular, Jim has spent many hours volunteering his time at the Aldinga Community Shed as a team leader, trainer, and fund raiser.
