The state government has created a web page that answers a wide range of questions and provides a list of links to other relevant state government agencies leading the response.
This park was formally named on 16 November 2021 following community consultation.
The Aboriginal name ‘Kadli Wirra’ means ‘dingo park’ in the Kaurna language. The other part of the name recognises the significant contribution of local resident, John Ackers, to the community. John was a member of Friends of Aldinga Scrub serving many years as President and was also involved with Aldinga Residents Association for over 20 years. John was selfless in his efforts to protect and enhance our natural environment. John also had a direct influence over the design of this park.
