Elizabeth House Positive Ageing Centre

Council has a commitment to supporting a safe, diverse and respectful community for all.

Elizabeth House is one of our Positive Ageing Centres located centrally in Christie Downs.

We bring people together in a safe and friendly environment where they can socialise and connect with others. We encourage people to get involved and connect with their friends and family and make new friends.  

We play an important role in the community where everyone is welcome to participate in programs, services and activities. To keep up to date with our events and activities take a look at our latest newsletter(PDF, 118KB).

We also offer a variety of spaces to hire, outside of program hours, for meetings and events of up to 100 people. Our facilities include a large hall, lounge and dinning room along with a full commercial kitchen.

Elizabeth House Shed

The Elizabeth House Shed is a shared woodworking space with programs run by qualified staff and volunteers to provide a safe space to learn new skills and make new friends with various fun and engaging projects.

Thursday Shed

Thursdays, 10am - 2.30pm.

Group activities providing time out for carers and engaging social activities for participants.

Shed Program

A program for adults living with a disability. Activities include upcycling, recycling, basic carpentry, mosaics, card and board games.

Kookaburra Club

Kookaburra Club is a fun, exciting and welcoming program with an emphasis on social interaction,friendships and wellbeing.
