Serpentine Reserve Bike Jumps

BMX Serpentine Reserve, O'Halloran Hill

Serpentine Reserve is a popular spot for beginner and intermediate riders, with small circuit style jump set.

Younger riders will enjoy the small tabletops and berms.

If you want more of a challenge, you'll need more pedaling and pumping but you'll be jumping!

Serpentine Reserve BMX track temporarily closed

The Serpentine BMX track remains closed after asbestos-containing material was found at the site.

The track was closed on 23 December 2025 after small pieces of building material found on the surface was tested and confirmed to contain asbestos.

In the interest of community and environmental safety, the area has been fenced off and warning signs have been installed. Public access is not allowed.

It is not known how the asbestos came to be on site. All soil brought onto the site for council’s Community Dig Day was tested before delivery and found to be suitable for reuse. Visible asbestos material on the surface has now been removed.

The council recently engaged a specialist consultant to undertake more extensive testing to determine the extent of asbestos present at the site.

We are also seeking advice on the best approach to remediation of the site.

Further updates will be shared as more information becomes available.

For more information about asbestos, including health risks, please refer to asbestos.sa.gov.au.
