Noarlunga Recreation Centre offers fun, inclusive, and family-friendly roller-skating sessions and parties for all ages and skill levels! Whether you’re looking to stay active, enjoy time with friends, or simply roll to the rhythm, there’s something for everyone.

Skating Sessions

Friday night skating

Kick off your weekend with our popular Friday night skating sessions:

Family skate session – 5:00pm to 7:00pm
A fun and relaxed skating experience for all ages. We have a variety of skate sizes available, or you’re welcome to bring your own. We dim the lights, pump up the music, and create the perfect atmosphere to skate, sing, and have a great time with friends and family.

Adult/experienced skate session – 7:00pm to 8:00pm
After the family session, the rink is cleared for our faster and more experienced skaters to enjoy a safe, uninterrupted skate.

Saturday skating

All-ages skating session - 2:00pm-4:00pm

Prices:

  • Child (16 & under): $7.20

  • Adult (over 16): $9.60

Birthday Parties

Roller skating birthday parties

Celebrate your child’s special day with a fun-filled roller skating party at Noarlunga Recreation Centre! Parties are held on Sundays with two session times available:

  • 10:00am – 12:00pm

  • 12:30pm – 2:30pm

Each party includes:

  • 2-hour party area hire with tables and chairs set up

  • Skates provided

  • A party host to run skating games and keep the fun going

  • Freedom to bring your own food and decorations

Party Packages (2025/2026):

  • 2-hour party (up to 20 skaters): $266.50

  • Additional skaters: $7.20 per person

  • Parents/guardians wishing to skate: $9.60 per person

  • Spectators: Free

Skating Lessons

Regeneration Skate runs weekly roller skating lessons at Noarlunga Recreation Centre, offering a friendly and supportive environment for all ages.

With over 80 years of combined coaching experience, their team teaches both learn to skate and artistic skating. Whether you’re just starting out or ready to explore artistic free skating and dance, there’s a class for you.

Program Schedule (Saturdays – excluding long weekends and Christmas closure):

  • 11:00am – 12:00pm: Artistic Free Skating

  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm: Artistic Dance

  • 1:00pm – 1:45pm: Learn to Skate

Cost: $10 per lesson

Limited skates are available to borrow, but bringing your own is encouraged. If you’re looking to buy skates, the coaches are happy to provide advice.

Casual Roller Skating

Casual Roller Skating

Casual roller skating is available at the Noarlunga Recreation Centre on Court 3, our fully air-conditioned indoor court, when the space is not booked for exclusive use or programmed sessions.

Casual skating provides a flexible option for individuals, families, and small groups to enjoy skating in a safe, indoor environment outside of scheduled skating sessions.

Availability

Casual skating is available subject to court availability. As Court 3 is used for a range of sports and programs, we recommend contacting the Centre prior to arrival to confirm availability.

Shared Use

During casual skating times, Court 3 is a shared space and may be used by multiple skaters at once. All users are asked to skate safely, be courteous, and share the space respectfully.

Groups seeking exclusive use of the court are encouraged to book Court 3 in advance via our online booking portal or by contacting the Centre directly.

What to Know Before You Arrive

  • Please report to the reception desk on arrival and pay the casual entry fee before skating
  •  Casual skating is BYO equipment
  •  Roller skates are available to hire for an additional fee.

Safety Guidelines

To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all users:

  • Helmets are strongly recommended, particularly for children, beginners, and less confident skaters
  •  Protective equipment such as wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads is encouraged
  • Skaters should skate within their own ability level and maintain awareness of others at all times
  • Children under 12 must be actively supervised by a responsible adult
  • Reckless skating, excessive speed, or unsafe behaviour may result in users being asked to leave the court
  • Skaters must follow any directions provided by Centre staff

  • Casual entry: $7.20 per person
  •  Skate hire: $5.30 per pair

School Holiday Skating

Join us at Noarlunga Recreation Centre for exciting roller skating sessions – the perfect way to keep kids active and entertained through the holidays!

Session Details:

  • When: Every Wednesday during the school holidays
  • Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
  • Where: Court 3 – Noarlunga Recreation Centre

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced skater, our sessions are family-friendly and fun for all ages. It’s a great way to stay active, make new friends, and enjoy a safe indoor activity.
