Friendship Club

Friendship club

Blending respite and meaningful connection our Friendship Club is a respite group for those over 65 years of age and is based at Wakefield House Positive Ageing Centre.

The Friendship Club prides itself on offering a welcoming environment with trained staff and dedicated volunteers offering individual support to the person you care for.

The Friendship Club offers a wide range of activities such as musical entertainment provided by local singers, exercise classes promoting physical wellbeing tailored to individual ability, group outings to local destinations and informative guest speakers.

At Wakefield House, nutrition is important and as such a low-cost healthy meal will be available sourcing ingredients grown from the local garden and a menu designed by our Healthy Eating Facilitator.

The Friendship Club is an inclusive group, welcoming those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
