We’re seeking innovative business owners and collaborators to activate our public spaces and deliver exciting, inclusive experiences that showcase the best of Onkaparinga.

This is an opportunity to explore new ideas in a live environment, support our local community, and celebrate the diverse offerings our region has to offer.

The City of Onkaparinga, home to some of South Australia’s most spectacular scenery, offers the perfect backdrop for vibrant commercial activations that attract tourism and boost the local economy.

Successful proponents will benefit from:

✅Reduced establishment costs through a staged fee-waiver program

✅An opportunity to test new business concepts to locals and visitors

✅Council support to help bring your activation to life.

We offer a supportive environment for commercial activations, including competitive fees and a staged fee-waiver program designed to assist businesses in establishing sustainable activations over a three-year period:

Year 1: Full waiver of permit/licence fees

Year 2: 50% fee waiver

Year 3: No waiver applies.

Site options

Choose from a variety of unique ENCORE Summer activation sites from prime waterfronts to pristine parks and bustling town centres — there’s a perfect location to launch your activation.

Locations include: Willunga, Port Noarlunga, O’Sullivan Beach and Christies Beach.

What are we looking for?

Whether it’s a coastal pop-up, adventure experience, cultural celebration or after dark soiree, if it gets people out and about enjoying our region, we want to hear from you!

Proposals are encouraged to consider the following activation themes, but not limited to, with a focus on outcomes and experiences:

• Adventure and Recreation Flyboarding, jet ski tours/ hire, boat charters, kayaking, snorkelling, eco tours, wellness experiences, sky diving, hot air ballooning, e-bikes.
• Villages and After Dark Live music, eat streets and beats, food and beverages, entertainment after dark, seasonal activities.
• Lifestyle and Culture Arts, markets, music, dance, technology, culture and heritage.

• Foreshore and Coastal Outdoor licenced bars and dining experiences capitalising on coastal locations (next availability 2027/28 season).
