Built by John Jared in the late 1860's, the original homestead is constructed of stone with corrugated iron roof. The building was added to in 1877 by John Jared (Jr) with three rooms to the front. The farm (also formerly known as 'Clear Farm') also comprises a barn and outbuilding. The farm was incorporated into the Onkaparinga Recreation Park in 1986 and the buildings remain abandoned ruins.
