The state government has created a web page that answers a wide range of questions and provides a list of links to other relevant state government agencies leading the response.
The winery complex contains several important buildings including the No. 1 cellar ('The Old Cave'), the oldest surviving operational wine cellar in Australia. Established by John Reynell, the winery was one of the first commercial winemaking enterprise in South Australia with the first vintage produced in 1844. Other buildings on the site include main winery building (built 1900), stables (built 1857) and 'Reynella House' (built 1843).
