Youth sport and recreation program
The City of Onkaparinga, together with the Roger Rasheed Sports Foundation (RRSF) and Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR), are offering free, fun and inclusive sport programs for local young people.
Programs run weekly during school terms at:
- Niipu-niipu Wama (Morton Park), Christie Downs
- Aldinga Sports Complex
Program options
Momentum Program – Ages 6–18
The Momentum Program offers inclusive, engaging sport sessions for young people aged 6–18, designed to support all abilities, backgrounds, and experience levels. Whether participants are just starting out or looking to build confidence and skills, everyone is welcome.
The program is delivered in age-appropriate groups to ensure the best experience for all participants:
- Ages 6–11
A fun, supportive and adaptable environment focused on building confidence, social connections, and enjoyment through physical activity. No experience needed.
- Ages 12–18
Semi-structured sport sessions designed to increase physical activity, improve fitness, and support wellbeing, while creating opportunities to connect with others.
Sessions run four days a week across both locations, with each group participating in 45-minute sessions, scheduled consecutively.
Momentum Street Sessions - Ages 12-15
Momentum Street Sessions are free pop-up sport and recreation sessions for young people aged 12–15. Held at different locations each month, these sessions offer a range of activities, no experience is needed — just come hang out, get active and give something new a shot.
