Aldinga Sports Park

In February 2021, Council approved the Aldinga Sports Park Master Plan which was developed to guide redevelopment of the Sports Park over the next 10+ years.

Overall community feedback supports of the vision for the Sports Park, including an initial $5.88 million upgrade forming stage 1 works and a longer-term vision, which includes a proposed regional play space and skate park.

Stage 1 commenced in 2020 and will continue until 2023 for works including:

  • Construction of fully enclosed cricket nets (3 lanes) - complete
  • Six upgraded netball courts (reconstruction of 3 to meet required runoff standards and resealing of the remaining 3) - complete
  • The construction of one new irrigated, turfed senior sized soccer pitch including conduit for future competition standard lighting
  • A new shared hockey and soccer clubroom
  • Upgraded access road, pedestrian pathways and a new sealed car park
  • Site services upgrades including new sewer, electrical, potable water and irrigation
  • New sports floodlights for hockey (second field), bowls (second green) and croquet (both lawns)
