We’ve long recognised the Port Noarlunga Golf Driving Range as a valuable community asset – one with significant growth potential. With the current licence set to expire on 31 December, a decision was made to review the site’s opportunities and start an expression of interest process to explore this growth potential, and ultimately enhance the community’s experience at the site.
Due diligence is now underway to carefully assess the offers received. As part of this process, we’ve indicated to the current operator that – given the strength of other proposals – it’s unlikely we will extend their current arrangement. Discussions will continue with them throughout the EOI process ahead of the expiration of the current licence.
A report will be presented to Council in October detailing the outcomes of the EOI process, providing more information on the proposals received and the preferred operator. Community engagement will follow, with a final decision from Council expected by the end of 2025.\
While it’s too early to discuss specifics regarding potential upgrades or price changes, the council is focused on partnering with a provider to deliver an improved facility that delivers a quality, accessible experience to the broader community.
Our aim is to ensure the driving range remains a vibrant recreational space for existing users, while also attracting new and aspiring golfers to enjoy improved facilities for years to come.
