• I’m just seeking a bit of clarification around council reviewing the long term residents at the Moana caravan park. The way I interpret it, council are only seeking to find an appropriate length of time to extended the current deal rather than the residents facing eviction? Is that correct?

Comments attributed to a council spokesperson

All current long-term site licences for the Moana Beach Tourist Park are due to expire on 31 December 2024. Council will work with the residents of these sites in relation to their ongoing tenure arrangements, to respond to our legislative obligations and to meet the housing needs of the residents. Renewal of the long term site licences will be considered by Council early in 2024.
