Today Beau Cowan tendered his resignation as Councillor for the City of Onkaparinga, effective immediately, due to health reasons.

Beau was one of the new councillors elected in 2018 and he brought with him new ideas and a passion to make real change in our city.

We know this would have been an incredibly tough decision for Beau, so on behalf of Council I’d like to thank him for his contribution to our communities. We wish him and his family all the best for the future.

A supplementary election will be held to fill the vacant Mid Coast Ward Councillor position, and we have sought advice from Electoral Commission SA on when this might take place.
