Council facilities (building/land) - request to use leasing

If you want to use council space or land suitable for your event or program, please submit a request for use of council facilities.

Council has limited facilities and not all requests can be met.  

We encourage you to  consider:

  • Including some flexibility with your facility requirements
  • Negotiating sub-tenancy or hire by communicating directly with existing facility occupiers
  • Explore options outside of council owned buildings, such as church groups, schools or privately owned facilities

We aim to support all requests, however in some instances the proposed use may not be suitable or a suitable site be available.

Step 1.Before you start

You will need to attach the following documents to your application:

  • Evidence of public liability insurance policy certificate of currency to a minimum of $20 million.
  • Reference from most recent landlord.
  • Evidence of payment of the last 3 months' rent and outgoings to most recent landlord.
  • Signed statutory declarations as suitability of character for any volunteers or employees who will be working with children or vulnerable persons.
