Response to The Advertiser.

• I'm writing a story about a subdivision at Sellicks Beach receiving planning approval from the ERD court. The 6.2ha site at 69 Justs Rd will be subdivided into 42 allotments. The developer has mentioned that it didn't received council approval, which is why it went to the ERD court. I thought it important to include some information about why the council knocked it back. Would the council like to provide some comment?

The application was refused under delegation because technical matters relating to stormwater remained unresolved at that point in time. These technical matters have subsequently been negotiated through the ERD Court conference process and the application has now received planning consent.
