• The journalist asked for comments about the outcome of a Council Assessment Panel meeting regarding a proposed wave pool development in Aldinga.

The City of Onkaparinga’s Council Assessment Panel gave in-principle support to a variation of a previously granted development application for a recreation and wave pool facility in Aldinga. 

The variation proposed new lighting towers and adjusted operating hours, both revised by the applicant following public consultation. The panel required further information on noise impacts, reduced hours of operations and design prior to issuing planning consent.

In addition to the above, the development remains subject to further approvals and conditions before it can proceed.
