Originally known as Prior's Court, the property was built in 1851 for Richard Bosworth. A stone building with brick dressings, and original roofing of slate (later replaced with corrugated iron). Outbuildings on the property are of stone and galvanised iron construction, with the stone outbuildings originally operating as the dairy and separating rooms.
The property was converted into an ostrich farm in 1915 with 200 ostriches arriving from Port Augusta. The property returned to general farming in 1926 after the demise of the Ostrich farming industry.
