Crown Inn
Description
Built in 1854 on land sold by John Reynell to Robert Hay, the hotel was originally a simple two storey building constructed of brick and stone with corrugated iron roof and front verandah. Alterations in the 1930s saw the construction of a balcony on the verandah and the rendering of the facade of the building. In recent times there have been additions to the rear and two sides of the original building. The Hotel formed an important focal point for the township of Reynella and served as one of the resting places for the Adelaide to Willunga coach journey.
