Sitting atop rolling green hills, Thalassa Park & Gardens boasts a unique history. The name ‘Thalassa’ comes from Ancient Greek, meaning: ‘I see the sea’ or ‘view of the sea’. It was appropriately named. Looking west from the park’s highest point, you have a distant view of the district’s sweeping coastline.
Thalassa Park is home to the Storybook Walk - a sculpture park which aims to raise the profile of and celebrate Australian writers and poets and their works, by bringing characters from some of the best loved children's books to life.

Bookings can be made for wedding ceremonies (130 people max.) and casual gatherings (over 70 people).
