The state government has created a web page that answers a wide range of questions and provides a list of links to other relevant state government agencies leading the response.
Built in 1845, the building was originally known as "The Lewis Arms" hotel, before being renamed in 1895 to the "Seaview Temperance Hotel" by W.R. Dickenson.
The hotel is associated with the wreck of the "Star of Greece" off the coast of Port Willunga and is believed to have been the location in which survivors of the shipwreck recuperated, as well as the location of the inquest into the deaths of those onboard. The building comprises two two-storeyed rectangular shaped sections constructed of random stone and rendered surrounds and openings.
