History

The foundation stone of the church-like Temperance hall was laid in January 1875.  The hall was built by the Society of Good Templars.  The last meeting of the Society was held in 1878.  The hall continues to be used by the Community.  The foundation stone for the rear additions constructed like transepts was laid in 1930.
