Flu Vaccine

The 2019 Flu Vaccine is now available at all clinics - no bookings necessary.

Our clinics stock all government vaccines – including paediatric and the over 65 vaccine.

The cost of the flu vaccine is $21 per vaccine unless you are eligible for a free flu vaccination through the government's Annual Funded Influenza Program.

(those that are part of the free program include: anybody that identifies as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, anyone with a chronic medical condition eg. Asthma, diabetes etc, all children under the age of 5 years old and anyone over the age of 65).

Immunisation records and history

Immunisation records can be accessed via the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)

We provide all childhood vaccinations specified on the National Immunisation Program (including catch-up vaccines).

Vaccination is free to children eligible for Medicare benefits.

No appointments are necessary, but a parent or legal guardian must consent and be present for a child’s vaccination.  Note: Grandparents/family members cannot provide consent unless they are a court-appointed guardian.

Please bring your child’s Medicare card and immunisation records (blue book) if you have them.

For details of the vaccine schedule visit SA Health - childhood immunisation program.

School program

We provide the following vaccinations for Year 8, 10 and 11 students:

  • Year 8 – Diphtheria, Tetanus and Whooping cough (Pertussis) and Human Papilloma Virus
  • Year 10 – Meningococcal B and Meningococcal ACWY
  • Year 11 – Meningococcal B (catch-up program for 2019 only)

For students who are absent on vaccination day, a letter/email will be sent to their parents/guardians to notify them of their child’s absence. These students may then attend any of our regular clinics with their parents/guardians in order to receive the missed vaccination at no charge.

Parents/guardians please remember to bring your child’s Medicare card when attending one of our clinics.

Meningococcal B immunisation program

The State Government has announced the introduction of the Meningococcal B vaccine to the schedule from the 1 October 2018, for children under the age of 1 year.

The catch up program for children under 4 years of age has now concluded. Children aged over 1 who have not received the vaccination will be able to receive it under the school based immunisation program (yr 10) for free or privately at cost (see adult and non scheduled vaccinations).

The Meningococcal B vaccine is now also included in the school based immunisation program for high school students in year 10.

ENDING SOON: The catch-up program for 17-20 year olds will end on Saturday 29 February 2020. The vaccine for this cohort is still available through GP's or Council clinics until the end of February 2020.
