Wellness for Carers

Wellness for Carers

We support local carers to recharge, have a break and take time out from their caring role with flexible and in-home support through the Wellness for Carers program.

Living a healthy and meaningful life is at the heart of the Wellness for Carers program. We offer a range of activities and events to help you rest, recharge and stay connected.

Flexible and planned support

Our Wellness for Carers program provides in-home care for the aged, frail and people with a disability living in our council area to give their carers respite.

This will allow the carer to:

  • go shopping
  • attend social activities
  • tend to daily chores
  • maintain usual outside activities.

All care workers are screened and trained and are specifically matched to meet individual needs. This ensures both carers and their relatives or friends are comfortable with the respite provided.

A contribution is required to support the service and is negotiated individually with the carer.
